Mandate
Osage Market exists to give the ecosystem a single venue with honest economics, audited settlement, and rules that don’t change between the buy and the sell. The marketplace is the user-facing layer. The infrastructure beneath is what makes the marketplace true.
Marketplace
- What lists. Goods from Osage Shop, agricultural produce from Osage Farm, services from operating companies, and offerings from approved third parties.
- Identity-gated. Listing and buying require an Osage ID; jurisdiction-tagged at onboarding.
- Settlement. Native on Osage Network; traditional rails available for fiat counterparties.
- Fees. Published per category; no hidden take, no dark-pattern checkout.
Infrastructure layer
- Listing. Standardized listing schema for tokenized assets, services, and goods; counterparty disclosures published at listing.
- Clearing. Atomic clearing on chain for on-chain instruments; T+0 clearing for digital settlement; T+1 for fiat rails.
- Settlement. Final settlement on Osage Network with on-chain receipts.
- Reference data. Published reference prices and identifiers; ecosystem-wide canonical IDs for goods, services, and counterparties.
Controls
- Per-jurisdiction filter on what may be listed; sanctioned or restricted goods are blocked at the listing layer.
- Counterparty KYC before any payment instrument may be added.
- Per-account spend and listing limits, configurable; raising a limit takes seven days to take effect.
- Independent audit of marketplace economics; published annually.
What we will not do
Anonymous listings. Pay-to-rank in search ranking. Restoration of withdrawn or sanctioned counterparties without re-KYC. Listing categories our compliance committee or general counsel will not put a name to.
